Balcony inspiration at Grand Designs Live 2013

Balcony Systems secured many new orders at Grand Designs Live 2013 with high levels of interest shown from all types of enquirers across its entire range of clear glass balustrades, curved patio doors, Juliet balconies and decking products.

From building professionals, trade visitors and architects to private individuals planning their own ‘Grand Design’, Balcony’s stand was packed throughout the October consumer home show at Birmingham’s NEC.

“It was an amazing event, really busy and we spoke to a complete cross-section of visitors seeking our balustrading, Juliet balconies or curved glass patio door solutions that transform all types of properties,” commented Effi Wolff, Balcony Systems Managing Director.

“Loft conversions, incorporating French Doors to bring in more light, are a growing trend as homeowners look to create more space in their existing properties rather than incur the expense of moving. Our glass Juliet balconies are proving to be the affordable balustrading solution for these projects, keeping the light and views with the added benefit of needing almost no maintenance.”

“Confidence is returning to the market”

“Greater levels of interest, especially from self-builders and those planning refurbishment projects, point to confidence returning to the market as more people are prepared to invest in improving or building their own homes.

“We are seeing a lot more projects on the go compared to a year ago and there’s a positive buzz in the construction and self-build market. Having secured many new orders at the show, Grand Designs Live was definitely a great success for us,” continued Effi.

‘‘The addition of an extra day – Thursday – to next year’s event will further enhance the show’s popularity. This is fantastic news for exhibitors and visitors alike, with four days giving greater flexibility for the trade to visit during the working week.

We’re already looking forward to London’s Grand designs show next May and next year’s show at the NEC, helping both existing and potential customers with their proposed plans!”
