Usually when something looks stunning, there’s a price tag to match. Cars are a great example, where a brand name can add 1000’s to the price tag, but in this case our innovative glass balustrade design has enabled us to create a system that has:
The stunning look that our glass balustrades produce is hard to beat but, because it’s glass, some people have concerns over safety. We’ll also talk about keeping the glass clean.
Keeping the Original Stunning Look
Let’s start by looking at keeping it clean. The aluminium handrails come in different coatings, which in all cases just wipe clean with soap and water. You don’t need any chemicals or abrasive pads as these will damage the coating. This makes our systems much easier to keep clean than Stainless steel systems, which tarnish over time.
Don’t worry, we don’t manufacture from estimated sizes, so worse case is that your quote will be incorrect. If you’re used to measuring, used to DIY, or work in a job where taking measurements is part of your role, the initial measurements will be easily done, as they don’t need to be super accurate.
Your Juliet balcony, glass balustrade or curved doors will not only get noticed, generating compliments from friends and family when first installed, but will continue to do so for many years to come. What you purchase in terms of any coatings on the glass will impact the amount of work needed to maintain that new look, but more on that later.
Whether you’re installing a Juliet balcony, which can be fitted as soon as it arrives, or a balustrade for a balcony, which has yet to be built, being able to plan when various parts arrive is important.
Here is an outline of what you can expect, although a more accurate time can be provided at the point of order.
Due to the fact that many of our systems are installed without the use of posts, we get asked if the Balconette system is a structural glass balustrade. The answer is no. It’s a hybrid system. A Structural glass balustrade means that the glass itself acts as the structure, and resists outward forces by being cantilevered from the ground.
We get asked are the handrails made of stainless steel? The answer is no, they are made from something better than stainless steel. They are made from anodised aluminium. Stainless steel is correctly named in that it stains less, but anodised aluminium is actually more corrosion-resistant, and that’s why we use it.
