A ‘very busy’ Grand Designs Live 2012

High levels of enquiries and orders from visitors attending the Grand Designs Live 2012 exhibition contributed to a ‘very busy’ three days on our stand at the October consumer home show at Birmingham’s NEC.

This year not only a large amount of self-builders, but many professionals, architects and builders showed strong interest in the company’s market-leading range of clear glass and aluminium balustrades, affordable Juliet balconies and stunning curved sliding patio doors that transform all types of properties. Many even brought along plans for their own ‘Grand Design’ to discuss quotations with Balcony’s staff.

The talking point among housebuilders, architects and developers, was undoubtedly Balcony’s unique curved patio doors that create a real alternative for traditional ‘faceted’ projects.

A record number of orders

Effi Wolff, Balcony Systems Managing Director, commented: “Our special Grand Designs discount offer proved a big draw and generated a record number of orders at the show. There were also a lot of serious enquiries, with many expecting to go ahead in the next few months. Friday was exceptionally busy – certainly the busiest day we’ve had for five years.”

Similarly, those embarking on refurbishment projects were attracted by Balcony’s solutions for clear balustrading – with the BalcoNano® double-sided self-cleaning glass coating option proving an additional bonus for dramatically reducing cleaning maintenance.

Effi added: “As the most prominent balustrading company at the show, our balcony and curved patio door solutions caught the attention of many visitors and all our brochures were disappearing quickly, so that can only be a good sign. Overall it was another successful show for us and clear evidence that homeowners, especially, are still willing to invest in their properties or build their own.”
