16th June 2020 – Balconette Covid-19 & Operational Update
Here is the latest at Balconette as of Tuesday 16th June 2020.
Our Sales and Technical design teams continue to work successfully from home and are fully functioning. This is working well and we will continue to operate like this until further notice or end of lockdown.
Over the lockdown period we have seen an increased number of customers wanting to improve their properties and we have been inundated with new enquiries. Our teams are very busy dealing with these new customer enquiries.
Our factory and manufacturing facilities are back to normal and at full capacity. We have adjusted our workspace in accordance with the Government guidelines and we are now working overtime to keep up with the lost time on production and to process new orders. Installation teams are operational, and most sites have now resumed.
Our Showroom is now OPEN on weekdays by appointment only and in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
Here are some important things we would like you to know:
- We have NOT laid anyone off.
- Almost all our staff (95%) have returned to work full time. We expect to be 100% by July.
- We have supported all our staff financially during this crisis.
- We are paying all our suppliers so that they can keep paying their staff
- Our sales team is fully functioning and is here to answer any of your questions.
- Orders and lead times are back to normal and unless you request otherwise, your order will flow straight to production once all approvals are received.

Lockdown has been a challenge and it has been a tough period, but we are proud of our country and NHS, especially as we have seen such great support from our customers.
We appreciate your support in keeping the flow of enquiries and orders coming in. Please continue to help us keep everyone busy and the economy flowing.
We are working towards continued safe easing of the lockdown and a further return to normal. We look forward to getting through this period together as a company and country.
